New BMW M video tease. Is this the BMW X6 M50d?

Fri, 02 Dec 2011

Is this a tease for the BMW X6 M50d? BMW has released a teaser video for a new M model X6, which we’re assuming is the X6 with the new three stage turbo diesel – perhaps the BMW X6 M50d? We’ve recently had confirmation that BMW are going to create a diesel version of the M5 – the M550d – and we expected BMW to use the same engine to create diesel M versions for the X5 and X6.

Concept Car of the Week: Renault Argos (1994)

Fri, 09 Nov 2012

The 1994 Renault Argos concept is the little sports car based on the humble Twingo that continues to resonate in design terms. Designed by current PSA Director of Design, Jean-Pierre Ploué, the minimalist three-seater ushered in a new design movement dubbed ‘Esprit Nouveau' (New Spirit) that re-instated The Car as an industrial machine after a period of organic, Bio-design influence. Pared-back, broken down into its component parts and proudly bare, the Argos mixed the post-industrial functionality of a contemporary fighter aircraft with a twist of Steampunk fantasy.

2012 Mercedes B-Class: First interior photos

Fri, 29 Jul 2011

2012 Mercedes B-Class Interior - first photo We’re expecting the 2012 Mercedes B-Class to be a big jump on from the current car - certainly in quality and dynamic terms – when it arrives at Frankfurt. And if the photo we’ve had in this morning of the 2012 B-Class’s interior is anything to go by, we’re not going to be too disappointed. We already know that the new B-Class is growing in size and that it will get all new engines with same direct injection as the BlueDIRECT (let’s just hope Mercedes now has the injector problems the C and E Class suffered under control) and a choice of either a six-speed manual or a  new 7G-DCT ‘box, which will be a huge improvement on the dreadful rubber band box in the old B-Class.
